Examples of how Parasol has helped injured soldiers and their families
- Arrangements for clothing, toileterries and phone cards to be provided to every soldier upon admission to the hospital.
- Arrangements for perishable items to be bought freshly for families visiting the injured soldiers and staying in nearby accommodation.
- Arrangement of temporary loans to assist the soldiers and their families.
- Authorisation for a purchase of a specialised bed for a young soldier who was seriously injured and left with severe mobility problems. This was pledged even before any events took place. The amount was approximately £1000 so his suffering was minimised and he could enjoy some comforts with his young family.
